今日はレインフォレストアライアンス認証（RA)について話したいと思います。 RAという言葉に皆さんあまり馴染みがないかと思います。私もコーヒー産業で働き始めるまでは、聞いたことがありませんでした。 RAは、社会・経済・環境の改善に取り組むプログラムです。 森林保護、気候変動対策、人権の保証、生活水準の向上に配慮をしている生産者にRA認証が送られます。 つまり、RA認証商品は地球、人類の持続性を築いていくのに先進的な商品であると言えるのです。 私たちが販売している、スマトラやウガンダなどのコーヒー豆もRA認証が付いています。

I want to introduce the Rainforest Alliance (RA) today. Many of you might not be familiar with RA. I did not know what it means until i started working in coffee industry. RA is a certification program that promotes to improve social, economic, and environmental issues. “From fighting deforestation and climate change to building economic opportunities and better working conditions for rural people, the Rainforest Alliance is working to solve urgent environmental and social challenges.” (quoted from: https://www.rainforest-alliance.org/) This means that RA certified products are innovative products which build the sustainable future.
